Course Objectives

- Provide an introduction on how to design cloud-native applications, the necessary tools, and the design trade-offs.
- Realize the importance of cloud virtualization, abstractions, enabling technologies, and cloud security.
Course Modules
Module 1: Sustainable Development and E-waste Management
Topics: Importance of electrical and electronic equipment in national development, E-waste as a toxic byproduct of the digital era, understanding e-waste, e-waste statistics, categories, legislation across the globe, UN initiatives for e-waste management, and the Indian scenario of e-waste generation, collection, and recycling.
Module 4: E-waste Management Legislation in India
Topics: Historical regulatory background, E-waste (Management) Rules 2016, Amendment Rules 2018, performance of EPR and CPCB, legal cases, and judicial directives.
Module 5: Moving Towards Sustainability
Topics: Legal and judicial aspects, economic concerns, environmental impact, and fostering a recycling culture in society.
