About this project

Women Safety Emergency Alert System (SafeHer) is a web-based safety management mini project developed using Python Flask, SQLite, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The application provides a modern platform where users can register, securely log in, manage trusted emergency contacts, record SOS alerts, capture their current GPS location with permission, and maintain emergency alert history.

The system includes a professional responsive landing page, personalized dashboard, emergency SOS interface, trusted contacts management, safety check-in functionality, and user profile management.

SafeHer is designed as an educational mini project for VTU 5th Semester CSE and ISE students. It demonstrates full-stack web development, authentication, database operations, browser geolocation, and emergency event management.

Note: This is an educational demonstration system. SOS alerts are recorded locally and are not automatically sent to police, emergency services, or trusted contacts.
